In the Spotlight: A Pop of Purple

Welcome back to our occasional “Spotlight” series, where we showcase trending wedding luxury, worldwide. Today is devoted to a poppy hue, perfect for seasonal celebration…Purple.

Out of all the vivid colors this world has to offer, you may be asking, why purple? For starters, it is one of the most versatile accent colors you can incorporate on your wedding day. Simply adjust the saturation and warmth and it can translate from refreshing summer to cozy fall.

But did you know purple has been associated with royalty for centuries? The rarity of the dye used to produce this flashy color was so expensive that only rulers and elite could afford it. Today, thankfully, purple is an equal opportunist, but it still holds the significance of grandeur, creativity, and wisdom… even in flowers.

So when we get a chance to sprinkle purple in our décor, you know it’s going to be magic. Not to mention, it perfectly complements Rosewater Pink. But if you’re still unsure how to use it in a luxurious setting, keep reading.

How to Incorporate Purple on Your Wedding Day?

Purple can be more than a pop. So that you maintain sophistication, incorporate blending colors. This ensures the room doesn’t feel overwhelming and you’re getting the most elevated effect from your décor.

One of the best ways you can balance your florals is using greenery! But don’t be afraid to incorporate bolder options like yellow, pink, orange, a crushing red, or even muted ivory against deep plum for a moody feel.

It’s also crucial to embrace more lux materials. This changes the quality of your space. Go for velvets, silks, or crystal, and perhaps stay away from those over-the-top options like sequins.

Finally, don’t forget to add complementary shades of purple into other décor details. Think about your chairs, tablecloths, napkins, candlesticks, drinkware, lighting, graphics, backdrops, and more. This intentionality will help your room look cohesive and effortless.
