So, grab your beverage of choice and please meet Bisi Ogunduyile.

What is the Rosewater Atelier story?

I have always been creative, handy and found myself DIYing my way through daily activities. The first true test of this was planning my own wedding in 2012, and that is how Rosewater was born. Through this, I realized how much I LOVE constructing spaces and transforming venues. I feel so much peace when I’m creating. Over the years, Rosewater has evolved immensely. Our portfolio has grown and we’ve mastered our craft of building luxury from the ground up and through it all our devotion and zeal for design has never wavered.

What makes Rosewater stand out from other event design vendors?

I have the upmost respect for my fellow industry business owners. I know first-hand the heart, love and hard work that is poured into this type of business. Rosewater truly is special. This is my art! You can be certain that I treat every detail with the upmost care, just like I would for my own personal event. The reality is, when you choose Rosewater, you’re going to get a masterpiece. I don’t compromise. I believe in having fun while creating, but I also understand the weight it holds in my client’s lives, and take my work seriously. I am confident in our skill, gifting and storytelling.

What is the signature Rosewater look?

Just like a rose, Rosewater designs are luxurious, refined, bold, and unique! Essentially, we want you to walk into the room and ask… “How did they do that?”

Where does your design inspiration come from?

I draw a lot inspiration from nature. Simply put, nature doesn’t make mistakes. The best thing about florals is that they’re created to work together. I like looking to different seasons, climates, even architecture, and I am always amazed how many colors and design inspo jumps out at me.

What is one thing about you that people may not know, but should?

I don’t mean to brag, but I am a really good cook 😊 I suppose it goes back to being naturally good with my hands and creating, but cooking is definitely a side hobby of mine.

As a female business owner, what advice do you have for other women dreaming about starting their own business?

I am a huge advocate of women finding something they love, they’re good at, and making a profit from it. There is no shame in starting small. I created Rosewater after establishing a nursing career and motherhood. I want my story to encourage you that it is never too late to chase your goals, prioritize your passions and learn. Humbly except feedback and keep going.

What is one thing on your bucket list you can’t wait to cross off?

Let’s go to Bora Bora! That is definitely on my bucket list, and I plan on crossing it off.

What advice do you have for future clients as they plan their celebration?

Nothing brings me more joy than to wow you! We believe transparency is always best, which is why we are open about a few design must-haves people don’t always think about, but will completely transform the caliber of the room. These are things like stage and dance floor wrapping, drapery, lighting, and more. Knowing about these design elements will help you as you plan both in vision and financially, if you’re in pursuit of that #InstaWorthy luxury.

What branding advice do you have for new event vendors trying to make a name for themselves in the industry?

No matter how much effort you invest in branding, there are foundational elements within your business you should not compromise on. These are things like customer service, professionalism, being dependable and quality control. Once you feel confident in these areas, your branding will support your growth more naturally. I would say, be consistent, and embrace your own unique voice and perspective.

What is your favorite element to design in a room?

Honestly, whichever element holds the most striking floral pieces. Every room is different. Sometimes the Sweetheart table is the main floral event, other times it’s the estate tables, entryways, name table… I just love bold florals. That’s when I’m in my element.

Made with Love,

Bisi
