Curating “Boho” Luxury

“Boho-Chic” is an entire design aesthetic and often a term of endearment to describe a relaxed but uniquely bold style. Today, it has a distinct free-spirited vibe.

Because it’s a more casual style, can Boho still provide that that ultra-lux experience? The answer is yes, with one Rosewater footnote… when done correctly.

Even with the best intentions, any style can go south if there’s a lack of balance. To help you curate maximum Boho luxury, here are a few tips that will elevate your next event in the style you love.

Opt for a Venue with a View

Elevate natures inherent gifts. An outdoor venue certainly falls into that category. We understand that not every climate will be outdoor friendly, so search for a venue that captures the right mood. Large open windows, a scenic drive to the venue, or an open space with natural light are still great choices.

Layers of Texture

Boho never lacks texture and always highlights organic materials. This can be very lux, and surprisingly pricey. A good starting point is to look at where nature can do the work for you and, where possible, incorporate pops of texture into other elements. Florals create waves of dimension, but there are other unconventional materials like palms, pampas grass, drapery, wicker, statement plants, natural-grain wood, and more that tie the room together.

Pursue Effortless over “Relaxed”

Behind every Rosewater design are countless hours of meticulous care, hard work, and determined love for every detail. We want our designs to be easy on the eye. While Boho can lean more relaxed, it doesn’t mean nonchalant. It’s all about intentionality, and you’ll find that Boho can be extremely glam.

Balance is Everything

Boho is certainly not a minimalist style. As we just discussed, it’s all about creating layers of luxurious interest. But if balance is not present, it can feel overwhelming. Always go through each space with an editor’s eye to make sure the room remains tasteful and elegant.

Quality Materials

The magic lies in quality florals and materials (yes, we even care about hem lines). Ultimately, this makes the space look more polished.
